Several years ago, I designed this day camp and riding school site in Flash so we could make use of the interactivity and animation capabilities that were unavailable by any other means at the time. With recent updates in Web Technology, a WordPress site fit Thomas School’s needs better, so I redesigned the old site as a WordPress theme instead.

The style guidelines were the same. Thomas School was looking for an engaging, interactive design that struck a balance between fun and professionalism.

The Blanks Promo Flyer

This flyer was passed out to college event coordinators looking to bring entertainment events to their schools. It was printed on 5.5″x 8.5″ card stock. Created using a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop.

I did all the modeling and character-rigging–on a custom armature made from scratch–as well as all the animating for this fun little video. The joke here plays off of the typical “T-pose” that most 3D models are created in.

The Blanks T-Shirt

T-Shirt design for a cappella group “The Blanks” (AKA “Ted’s band from Scrubs,” but I think they might hate being called that). I had to do a bit of Photoshop-Magic to splice these specific poses together from other photos, then I stylistically vector-traced each member’s face in Illustrator to get a nice clean, stylized look. Also made a few variations of the design so the same base design would work on a variety of T-Shirt colors.
